I can’t stop thinking about what happened yesterday.
I approached an intersection where the light was red.
As I got there, it turned green—right on cue.
So like anyone would, I was about to go… forward.
But for whatever reason, I paused. I glanced down to adjust my radio—just
for a few seconds.
Then I started to move forward.
And in that exact moment—a car came flying through the intersection at
around 60–65 mph… completely running the red light.
It missed me by seconds.
If I had gone right when the light turned green…
It would have hit me directly on the driver’s side.
There’s no doubt in my mind—I would have been seriously hurt.
I made it through the intersection… but I didn’t go far.
I had to pull over.
Just to sit.
To process how close that moment really was.
How different today could have looked.
And how incredibly lucky I am that I’m here—and that no one else was hurt.
That tiny delay… saved me.
And I can’t help but feel that something bigger was at play.
Sometimes we get frustrated when life slows us down.
But what if those delays are actually protecting us?
Yesterday reminded me:
Not everything is coincidence.
Green doesn’t always mean go.
And today—I’m just incredibly grateful. ❤️
